On the Path

This is the first of what will become periodic musings as I journey along the Buddhist path.

I’ve been studying Buddhism for over 20 years and practicing vipassana meditation for 15 years with the Buddhist Insight Meditation Centre of Victoria. We are a small but dedicated group associated with Aukana  in England.

For me, Buddhism provides a clear, logical,  and precise means of overcoming suffering both for myself and for others. In  Buddhism suffering covers a wide range of experiences from minor irritations like a head cold to the anguish of losing a loved one. But Buddhism is ultimately about happiness and being fully awake from moment to moment.
