Contemplative Photography

I recently attended a presentation on Miksang Photography by Michael Wood. He describes Miksang as being “at its most basic level, concerned with uncovering the truth of pure perception. We see something vivid and penetrating, and in that moment we can express our perception without making anything up—nothing added, nothing missing. Totally honest about what we see—straight shooting.”

I also bought The Practice of Contemplative Photography which I’m reading.  I find contemplative and wabi sabi photography complement my Buddhist practice.

This image is my first contemplative photograph shot inside my home a few days ago.
